This is the first year that Advent 3B2 Inc. have exhibited at the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) Annual Meeting, the premier conference for the STM market. Close to 500 people were in attendance at the 24th Annual Meeting which was held in Boston.
This year the theme of the conference was "Collaboration, Controversy, and Common Sense." Mike Miller, Sales VP of Advent 3B2 Inc. quoted "I'm sure Common Sense referred to the large use of 3B2 in the STM arena."
Seven of the exhibitors were 3B2 users and they came from as far away as India and the Philippines. Between the seven 3B2 suppliers there were well over a hundred different publications created with 3B2 on exhibit. For the exhibitors at the conference 3B2 was their competitive advantage.
During the three days of the conference a large number of the attendees visited the Advent booth and acknowledged that their publications are created with 3B2. SSP confirmed Advents' dominance in the STM market, a market in which we certainly intend to take a more active role in the future.
